Catering & Events
Chef Mateo Granados has been an important part of the Sonoma County food scene for years. First developing his successful food truck business, then as the chef-owner of the popular Latin French fusion restaurant Mateo's Cocina Latina in downtown Healdsburg for over 10 years. He's now available for catering in and around Sonoma County providing his immense talent to feeding those lucky enough to attend one of his parties. In addition, his popular habanero hot sauces are available for purchase!
MATEO's signature style was honed at local farmers markets, and simply by years of working in fine dining establishments in the Bay Area. The Yucatan tamales, his grandmother’s secret recipe, soon became a beacon to many seeking authentic Mexican cuisine in the Yucatan style from Mateo's homeland. He grew to be one of the most in-demand caterers for many of the North Bay’s best private parties and culinary events. In the meantime, he developed and launched his own private label Yucatan style habanero hot sauces called "El Yuca", crafted from his homegrown habanero peppers and incorporating local vinegar and spices from nearby farms.
THROUGHOUT his career, Chef Mateo has worked with great chefs such as Julian Serrano and Alain Rondelli, at such legendary restaurants as 42 Degrees, Masa’s, Manka’s Inverness Lodge, and Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen. His talents were showcased in Food & Wine, Sunset, San Francisco Chronicle, Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Tasting Table, and many other top publications.

Handcrafted & Made Local
An authentic Yucatán meal layers flavors, textures, and complex chile spice. To give all foods that delicious touch of fire, Chef Mateo has created his own collection of handcrafted organic hot sauces.
We proudly use homegrown Sonoma County chilies which are farmed and harvested by hand. The local ingredients are then crafted and hand-bottle in small batches.
Back to the farmers markets for the freshest carrots and onions to include in our sauces, as well as Preston Vineyards olive oil and white vinegar.
All four of the El Yuca sauces add extra personality to any dish, from eggs to soups, tacos to juicy grilled meats. They aren't your everyday hot sauces — they enhance even the most delicate dishes.
